a new organ for Valls (Tarragona)
Organ with 22 stops, prepared to have 43 stops in the future, meanwhile the parish is pending of sponsors.
The organ is foreseen for III Manuals, being the third manual prepared for the future.
The dimensions are approximatively: width 4.4m, depth 4m., and the highest point will be 14m.
This high façade is inspired in the “castellers”, showing the verticality of the human towers (Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity), which is a symbol in the town of Valls. Therefor the front is designed with 16’ pipes and 12’ pipes above them.

What exactly are castells? Castells –a Catalonian word that means castles– are a cultural phenomenon particular to Catalonia and consist of erecting human towers. This tradition originated at the end of the 18th century in Valls, Tarragona, when rival groups of people called colles, began to compete in constructing the different kinds of human towers that we recognise nowadays.
